Welcome to Valencia, you have just arrived to one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, it is regarded as the third most important city and the second most important all over the Spanish Mediterranean coast after Barcelona.

A very dynamic city with ancient and modern history, its growth has taken place vertiginously throughout these last years. Nowadays Valencia is turning into an alternative choice after Barcelona or Madrid but soon Valencia will be included as part of the trio.  

The city’s growth is due to the policy of keeping the heritage belonging to the old times but at the same time, it has become an economic and financial leader in Spain.

This progress is also the result of two main reasons, first, the construction of the amazing city of Arts and Sciences, attracting nearly 4 million people every year, and second, the America's Cup, which took place during three months in Valencia in the year 2007.

Valencia is located in a fertile land on the east coast of Spain and next to the mouth of the Turia River, in a region called "Valencian Community" formed by the provinces of Valencia, Alicante and Castellón.

Valencia is known around the world for its "Fallas" and  "The Tomatina" festival, its Cathedral, the kindly nature of their people, its famous gastronomy, best represented by its famous  "Paella", its night life, its great weather and of course its agriculture, specially by their oranges which are widely exported.

Valencia is also very well known by its famous "El Cid", the national hero of Spain who fought against the Moors when Valencia was ruled by these people. This occupation lasted from the invasion of Valencia until the 13th century; Now, The Cid is recalled and honored during festivals and in several villages as well.  

The nice weather, lasting the whole year, invites you to make a tour and visit a lot of interesting places such as the interactive science museum, remarkable artists' works such as Goya's or Velázquez's showed in art galleries, the beautiful aquarium, its planetarium, its IMAX theater, one of the best in Europe, etc.
