Most of the park’s surface is occupied with the rice crops and by the littoral lagoon; part of the local vegetation is restricted by the acequias or “ullals” (which are areas of free water located at the Marjal) by the rice peripheral areas and the littoral lagoon and in the other side by the sand strip of the shoreline, mainly in Devesa.
