Malvarrosa / Levante beach

Malvarrosa is a maritime neighbourhood at the city of Valencia in Spain, the beach takes the name after a plant that used to inhabit here in earlier days, thus the region and the beach here are named Malvarrosa; sometimes people also call the same to the Cabañal and Arenas beaches.

Malvarrosa limits to the north with Acequia de Vera and to the south with Cabañal neighbourhood through the Naranjos Avenue where there is a railroad.
The beach is some seven kilometres away from the city and it counts with good communication not only of urban buses offering service during the summer when these lines are reinforced but also the streetcar or even the bike-line, besides the beach is next to the Mediterranean highway.

In its very beginning, Malvarrosa was a maritime neighbourhood but nothing has been left about it even though it was regarded as a workers’ neighbourhood, the present transformation has nothing to do with this classification mainly the approach dealing with its maritime appearance.

Next to the beach, we find the house, already refurbished, of the novelist Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, the beach also appears in several paintings of Joaquín Sorolla.
This wide and open beach, of fine and golden sand, located at the city of Valencia, shows a very lively scenario due to the exquisite and varied services where the Marine Walk delimits the area. Cultural activities are often held here in the resort due to its nearness to Valencia City.

Malvarrosa Beach Park is a space meant for leisure and entertainment. Here those fond of motorcars and Fórmula 1 will enjoy of more than 10 000 square meters dealing with activities programmed for the Great Leisure Prix. The Malvarrosa Beach Park will allow visitors from Valencia or from somewhere else to live the Urban Circuit very close.
